Yoga Therapy Training

Are you interested in becoming a Yoga Therapist?

Are you a Yoga Teacher interested in deepening your understanding of Yoga as a healing modality? Yoga Therapy employs the tools of yoga in a way that addresses the individual in front of you. Tailoring yoga in a unique way with the multi dimensional needs of the student put first.

A deep understanding of the the various yoga tools from asana to pranayama, bhavana and mantra are all aspects of Yoga that can support the student therapeutically. However the ability to apply these tools one on one in the context of a particular student is the true essence of Yoga Therapy.

A distinct understanding of the human system from the ancient yoga perspective and western medicine view is embedded in this program.

This 800 hour training will commence February 2024 through to May 2026 in Middle Park at Agama Yoga Centre conducted by Jill Harris and Barbara Brian. Face to face weekends, once a month with some online components.

Mentoring with a senior Yoga Therapist is included.

These ancient teachings come direct from the source of Yoga Therapy – TKV Desikachar and the Krishnamacharya lineage.

The program will be  conducted by experienced yoga therapists trained in this lineage. Weekend based training.

Open to teachers with a minimum 350 hours Yoga qualification.
