Structural Yoga Spring Series
Kyo Yoga & Healing
Structural Yoga is an exploration of your own body’s form. These practices not only explore our structural anatomy but the energetic anatomy too – through the elements of nature that correspond to different areas of the body (according to yoga and ayurveda).
The maha bhutas (earth, water, fire, air, space) make up all living beings and require balance in order for our body to be at its optimum function.
These new practices will guide you via information and experience to find your own comfortable form, with reflection around the elements and how they require balance for the body to move well.
Suitable for all students and especially anyone with curiosity about moving their body in the most productive way during yoga.
Classes can be attended separately or as a whole series and will be conducted via Zoom.
Sessions are held Sundays 9am-10.15pm online via Zoom on the following dates:
October 4 – Finding Balance (The Earthly Base)
October 18 – Spacious Hips (The Watery Relm)
November 1- The Lumbar Spine (Balancing the Internal Flame)
November 15 – Opening the Lungs (Receiving Space)
Practices are all 75 minutes and will include relaxation time at the end.
Questions and discussion welcome at the end of the practice.
The Series is conducted by Jill Harris – Senior Teacher with Yoga Australia and Yoga Therapist.
