This 6 week program offers nourishing Yoga and Meditation via the Cakra System.

The postures are gentle, grounded and readily adaptable for different bodies. Staying is a focus but some gentle movement will be used to encourage ease in the body in readiness for the stillness of meditation.

Starting with the body we begin to relax the nervous system via the breath, along with focus (bhavana) and mantra to enhance the restorative effect and guide the mind.

This series of classes will focus on the Cakra System – Yoga’s guide to the energetic body. Knowledge of the Cakras can provide a practical understanding of where our energy (Prana) may be blocked and linking with them in Meditation can have powerful healing qualities when used appropriately.

Exploration of each Cakra will be woven throughout the practice with a particular centre focused on each week. The final 20 minutes will offer guided meditation that leads to silence and time for inner reflection and holding space for self.

Suitable for all levels of experience and those wishing to engage in a gentler yoga practice leading to an experience of meditation.
A great practice for calming body and mind and preparing for rest and restorative sleep.

In studio and online available. If booking in studio, please be sure you are able to attend the sessions as spaces are limited. If joining online at home, a Zoom link will be sent closer to the start date. Sessions will also be recorded for those unable to make the time.
