Change and growth require time and space.
Yoga teaches us that we need to create space first in order to receive. Removing energy that is stagnant so that we can welcome a new and purposeful vitality into body and mind is the first step.
A time to reset our wellbeing and intention moving forward.
The transition from Summer to Autumn triggers change within body and mind that the practice of Yoga can assist with. Moving from the external warmth of Summer to the changing coolness of Autumn. The Gunas (or attributes of nature within us) can become particularly imbalanced at this time of year.
The guna of Sattva is the element of lightness and ease that Yoga ascribes to the Mind & Body as the ‘ideal’ state. The challenges of life and our physical constitution can make sattva elusive for us but when we attain it we find that equilibrium that allows clarity and wellness to be in abundance. Anxiety and stress are alleviated. Our body functions with consistency and wellness.
Understanding how the body and mind interact and implementing small changes to self care can have a profound effect. This retreat will offer teachings from Yogic Philosophy as well as Ayurveda (the sister science of Yoga) in allowing the mind to find space and perspective, stepping into new patterns and ways of thinking.
Join Jill on this balancing weekend encompassing Yoga, Meditation, Mantra and Pranayama grounded in the ancient Vedic teachings through the Krishnamacharya lineage. Enjoy the company of like minded yoga practitioners who are interested in diving a little deeper into the benefits and wisdom of yoga.
Inclusive in the retreat is delicious vegetarian food, a sound bath session as well as personal time to explore the surrounds or nourish the self (optional Turkish Hammam and massage available at extra cost).
Program will include: *
Friday – arrival at 4pm (space to settle in), pre-dinner yoga practice, evening meditation.
Saturday – morning yoga practice, philosophy and pranayama session, sound healing session, pre dinner yoga & meditation, time for self (options include exploring surrounds or nearby mineral springs, massage, Turkish hammam at Conti House).
Sunday – morning yoga & pre-lunch philosophy/meditative practice session, time for self (finish after lunch Sunday 2pm).

Delicious, fully catered vegetarian meals. Dietary requirements can be catered for. Tea and coffee and snacks available through day.
Continental House in Hepburn Springs is a unique guest house and retreat centre that invokes a bygone era whilst offering the modern comforts of home with cosy accomodation and beautiful communal spaces. Some rooms can be twin share and all rooms have their own ensuite bathroom.
Lots of nooks to explore as well as areas to sit and reflect. A truly unique space!
Dates: Friday April 8 from 4.00pm – Sunday April 10 finishing after lunch.

Cost: $780 single room, $680 twin share.
All linen, towels and aromatherapy toiletries provided. All bedrooms have ensuites, split system heating/cooling and ceiling fans.
