How can understanding our unique constitution assist us with better health?
The doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) are the three bodily intelligences according to Ayurveda and Yoga.
When we understand how they manifest and organize in our body we begin to know what balances or imbalances us and can take better steps to self care.
This series explores how to balance the doshas through lifestyle, diet and yoga practice.
Week 1 will entail an overview of how the doshas manifest, what they represent along with discovering your predominant dosha (and how this can shift throughout life).
The following weeks will focus on each particular dosha – and ways to create health through bringing them back to balance.
The sessions will involve a presentation and discussion followed by a 40 minute yoga practice aimed at balancing the doshas through movement and breath work.
All levels are catered for in the practice.
This 4 part series is suited to both yoga students and yoga teachers.
