These one hour monthly workshops will be useful for students wanting to improve their yoga and understand the purpose behind the poses.
July 13 Workshop… ‘Downward Dog – Function & Form’. Ardho mukha svanasana is one of the most commonly practised postures and also one of the most challenging in achieving an optimal stretch of the back of the body. As a forward bend it works strongly with the legs and back with the emphasis on achieving a straight spine through correct and safe use of shoulders, as well as the lower body.
Come and explore the nuances in achieving or working towards a more functional downward dog. This is a pose that feels completely different for everyone!
